As part of its ongoing commitment International best practice, a major aspect of the AFPA's remit is the setting of guidelines for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This ensures that practitioners keep up to date with latest developments and recieve ongoing training to develop their practice and serve the public better. the AFPA has published CPD guidelines for both providers and practitioners.
If you are delivering a lecture or workshop, we do not have an approval process for post graduate studies.
Members should use their own judgement regarding the quality of the lecture or workshop.
4 CPD credits is the annual requirement. Credits can be carried forward to the following year, so if you have more than the 4 credits for the current year, you can transfer the extra credits to the coming year.
There are 2 categories of CPD Credits. Category A TCM and Category B Non TCM but relevant to your practice
The following are TCM credits. You can assess your own credit total.
